Elbashmohandes (Arabic for “The Engineer”) is my personal engineering identity.

It is the signature I use on the products, prototypes, books, technical publications and educational content that I create.

It is not currently a company brand.

It represents over 15 years of practical engineering experience, continuous learning, and a commitment to developing technology locally while sharing knowledge with others.

Who I Am

I’m Ahmed Samir Fayed, an R&D Technology Advisor and Electronics Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in embedded systems, industrial IoT, hardware development and applied research.

My work focuses on helping organizations transform operational problems and technology opportunities into reliable, field-validated engineering solutions.

Rather than stopping at building prototypes, I believe successful R&D should also leave behind stronger engineering teams, reusable technical assets and sustainable internal capability.

Throughout my career I have worked across the complete engineering lifecycle—from idea evaluation and feasibility studies to system architecture, electronics design, embedded software, PCB development, testing, field validation and continuous improvement.

I also enjoy supporting technology startups—especially those developing hardware and embedded systems—by helping them assess feasibility, shape system architecture, reduce technical risk and build an R&D function capable of supporting long-term innovation.
